Abstract: The study was conducted to investigate the Effect of Feeding Azolla Leaf Powder (Azolla pinnata) on the Performance of Kadaknath Chicken (Gallus domesticus). A total of 150 Kadaknath chicks (four weeks old) were used in a completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications, each consisting of 10 chicks. The treatments were as follows: T1 control; T2 control supplemented with Azolla leaf powder at 2.5%; T3 control supplemented with Azolla leaf powder at 5%; T4 control supplemented with Azolla leaf powder at 7.5%; and T5 control supplemented with Azolla leaf powder at 10%. Dressed weight, eviscerated weight, and dressing percentage were significantly highest in birds fed diets containing 5% Azolla leaf powder (T3) compared to other treatment groups. No significant differences were observed in the percentage of thigh, drumstick, liver, gizzard, and heart among the different groups. Hematological parameters, including hemoglobin (Hb,%), packed cell volume (PCV,%), and total leukocyte count (TLC,%), showed significant improvement at the 5% supplementation level.
