Abstract: A study was undertaken to assess the impact of dietary flaxseed powder on carcass characteristics and visceral organ weights in broiler chickens. A total of 150 day-old Cobb broiler chicks were randomly distributed into five dietary treatment groups: a control group (T1) formulated according to BIS (2007) [4] guidelines, and four treatment groups (T2-T5) supplemented with flaxseed powder at levels of 5%, 7%, 10%, and 12%, respectively. Each treatment consisted of three replicates with ten chicks per replicate. The results showed no statistically significant differences (P> 0.05) in dressing percentage, breast and thigh yields, or abdominal fat content among the treatment groups. Likewise, the relative weights of visceral organs such as the heart, liver, gizzard, and proventriculus were not significantly influenced by flaxseed inclusion. These findings indicate that dietary incorporation of flaxseed powder up to 12% does not negatively affect carcass yield or internal organ development in broilers. Inclusion levels between 5% and 7% appear to be optimal, promoting favorable growth performance without compromising carcass quality or organ health.
