Abstract: The present study investigates the incidence, clinical signs, diagnosis and therapeutic management of Buxtonella sulcata infection in buffaloes presented at Veterinary Clinical Complex, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh during September 2022 to September 2024. A total of 427 faecal samples of buffaloes were collected and processed in laboratory. The overall incidence of Buxtonella sulcata in buffalo was recorded as 52.6%. We studied the association of B. sulcata infection with diarrhoea which revealed animals with diarrhoea were more positive (63.27) than those without diarrhoea (22.14). The incidence of Buxtonella sulcata infection in Females (42.02%) was higher than male (7.64). The incidence was much higher in adult animals (78.24%) than young ones (22.76%). The study was aimed to control diarrhoea caused by Buxtonella sulcata. Buxtonella sulcata is one of the important parasites normally found in gastrointestinal tract of ruminants causing diarrhoea in young calves and immunocompromised animals. All the buffaloes were successfully treated with parenteral medicinal therapy using antiprotozoal, anti-inflammatory and anti-histaminic for seven days.
