Abstract: A total of 20 Gir calves utilized for present study with similar body weight of either sex at 4-6 months age assigned in four experimental groups with five animals in each group. Moringa leaf meal replacing crude protein requirement were 75% (T2), 50% (T3) and 25% (T4) by the concentrate mixture, respectively. The result indicates that, Overall body weight gain was significantly higher in T2 & T3 at fortnight intervals. Average daily gain significantly higher in T2 followed by T3 from control (T1) group. Overall weekly average feed intake was significantly higher in T2 & T3 while there were no significant differences between T2 and T3 groups. Mean feed conversion ratio was significantly among all the treatment groups and there was maximum in T1 and Minimum in T4. The Overall growth rate of T2, T3, T4 calves was found 25.36%, 19.38 %and4.32 % higher than T1 group.
