Abstract: In the present situation,rnan integrated farming system acts a vital part in providing round the yearrnincome, employment and nutritional security to the farming community as well asrnplays an imperial role in their sustainable livelihood. In this regard, farmersrnshould acquire knowledge about integrated farming systems for the increasedrnproductivity as well profitability; since, the power of knowledge is thernprerequisite for their stable livelihood. The investigation was carried out inrnNorth Western Zone of Tamil Nadu with the aim of developing a knowledge test torndetermine the knowledge level of farmers about the Integrated Farming Systems.rnThe knowledge test was constructed through various steps namely, collection ofrnitems and its analysis, pre testing of the statements, estimate of difficultyrnand discrimination index, coefficient of correlation, measuring the contentrnvalidity and reliability of the test. The results indicated that the knowledgerntest was observed as reliable and valid; hence, it can be used further by thernresearchers and scientists to assess the knowledge level of farmers onrnintegrated farming systems.
