Abstract: Canine dermatophytosis poses a significant health concern, leading to considerable dermatological discomfort and adversely impacting the overall physiological and psychological status of affected animals. This study, conducted at the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Ethics & Jurisprudence, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur, between April 2024 and January 2025, was aimed to evaluate the comparative therapeutic efficacy of systemic treatment (Itraconazole), topical therapy (Neem oil), and a combination of both (Itraconazole with Neem oil). All the cases suffering from dermatophytosis were randomly divided into 3 groups, each consisting of 10 dogs. These dogs were treated with different treatment protocols until disappearance of clinical signs and negative results under wood’s lamp. It was found that combination therapy (oral administration of itraconazole with topical application neem oil) reduced the number of recovery days compared to other groups.
