Abstract: The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of phytase enzyme supplementation at varying dietary energy levels on the growth performance of Pratapdhan chicks (day-old) were used in a completely randomized design in 5 treatments with 4 replicates, each consisting of 10 chicks. The treatment comprised of T1 Control basal diet (CP 20% and ME 2800 kcal/kg), T2 (Control diet + supplemented with Phytase @1500 FTU/Kg, T3 (T2 + 5% reduction in ME), T4 (T2 +10% reduction in ME) and T5 (T2 +15% reduction in ME). The effect of supplementation of phytase enzyme was studied on body weight and body weight gain of Pratapdhan chicks were measured. At the age of 8th week body weight was significantly highest (p<0.05) in T3 followed by T2, T1 and lowest in T5 group. Overall body weight gain was significantly highest (p<0.05) in T3 followed by T2, T1, T5 and T4 group. It may be concluded that the feeding of Phytase enzyme is beneficial in improving body weight and body weight gain of Pratapdhan chicks.
