Abstract: The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of turmeric powder and vitamin C supplementation on Haemato-biochemical parameters of Pratapdhan chickens. A total of 160 day-old commercial Pratapdhan chicks with uniform body weight were randomly assigned to four treatment groups, each with four replications comprising 10 chicks per replicate, following a completely randomized design. The chicks will be reared in a cage housing system for a period of six weeks under identical standard management practices. The birds were subjected to four dietary treatments formulated on a basal ration. T1: Control group receiving only the basal diet; T2: Basal diet supplemented with 0.5% turmeric powder; T3: Basal diet supplemented with 300 mg/kg of vitamin C; T4: Basal diet supplemented with a combination of 0.5% turmeric powder and 300 mg/kg of vitamin C. The analysis of data showed that Haemato-biochemical parameters of Pratapdhan chicken, Total cholesterol (mg/dL), LDL cholesterol (mg/dL), HDL cholesterol (mg/dL), albumin (g/dL), and haemoglobin (g/dL) levels were significantly higher in the control group (T1) compared to the other treatment groups. Triglyceride levels (mg/dL) were significantly higher in T3, while glucose levels (mg/dL) were significantly higher in T4 compared to the remaining treatment groups.
