Abstract: Data on body weight, height at withers, chest girth, body length, and body condition score were collected from 129 adult female Malabari goats across four centers. Mean body weight was 26.59±0.63 kg, with significant inter-center variations observed for all measured traits. Strong positive correlations (p<0.001) existed between body length, height at withers, chest girth, and body weight. Chest girth strongly correlated with body weight (r=0.860) and weakly, but significantly, with body condition score (r=0.192, P=0.030). These results emphasize chest girth as a key indicator of body size and weight in Malabari goats, supporting its use in body weight estimation.
