Abstract: Data on body weight, height at withers, chest girth, body length and body condition score were collected from 151 adult female Malabari goats across four centers. The mean body weight was 26.59±0.63 kg. Strong positive correlations (p<0.001) were found among body length, height at the withers, chest girth and body weight. Chest girth showed a strong correlation with body weight (r=0.860) and a weak but significant correlation with body condition score (r=0.192, P=0.030). These findings underscore the importance of chest girth as a key indicator of body size and weight in Malabari goats, supporting its potential use for estimating body weight.
