Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of varying levels of Vanadium (V) supplementation on the growth performance of indigenous Hariana heifers. A total of 18 heifers, aged between 1 to 2 years, were selected from the herd maintained at ILFC for the growth trial. Based on body weight, the animals were evenly divided into three groups of six: Control, T1, and T2. While the Control group received only a basal diet, groups T1 and T2 were supplemented with 2.5 ppm and 5.0 ppm of vanadium (in the form of sodium metavanadate), respectively, along with the same basal diet. All animals were fed in accordance with NRC (2001) nutritional guidelines. The experimental feeding period lasted 90 days, with body weights recorded every fortnight. Although there were no statistically significant differences (p>0.05) in average body weight and metabolic body weight (kg W 0.75) across the groups, the T2 group showed a notably higher Average Daily Gain (ADG) and fortnightly weight gain compared to the other groups.
