Abstract: A study was conducted on eighteen (18) growing kids of four to six month of age. The experimental kids were selected and randomly divided into three groups viz. T0, T1, and T2 with six kids each for 90 days. The diets were standard feeding practices as per (ICAR, 2013) in group (T0). All the experimental goats were housed individually during experimental trial period. The experimental group T1 was supplemented with Lemongrass oil @ 0.25% of concentrate mixture. The experimental group T2 was supplemented with Lemongrass oil @ 0.50% of concentrate mixture. The record of dry matter intake, body weight and gain in body weight of animals were maintained regularly in control and experimental groups. The digestibility trial of seven days was conducted for nutrient utilization studies. The results of body weight and ADG showed non-significant difference among treatment groups. However, the digestibility coefficients of nutrients were observed significantly higher in treatment groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that feeding of lemongrass oil at 0.25% and 0.50% of concentrate mixture can be done without any adverse effect on goat performance parameters.
