Abstract: A three year old male Persian cat and three and half year old male Domestic short hair cat were presented to Department of Surgery and Radiology, College of Veterinary Science, Proddatur with history of photophobia, trauma to the left eye (OS) and opacity, ocular discomfort, purulent discharges, and trauma to the left eye (OS) respectively. Detailed ophthalmic examination has revealed severe blepharospasm, negative menace and PLR, FDT positive, congested sclera and conjunctiva in both cats and the cases were diagnosed as deep stromal ulcer and Melting ulcer. Under general anaesthesia, first case was surgically treated with autologous corneoconjunctival graft, and second case was treated with decellularized bovine omental graft. The outcome was evaluated based on healing of cornea in terms of transparency, oedema, neovascularization and scarring. Both cats showed no difference in terms of oedema, neovascularization and scarring, whereas transparency was seen earlier in cat treated with autologous graft than the cat treated with xenograft i.e., decellularized bovine omental graft. However, by the end of 42nd day both cats showed uneventful recovery with minimal complications.
