Effect of non-genetic factors on performance of Deccani sheep at organized farm

Abstract: The present study entitled to "Effect of Non-Genetic Factors on Performance in Deccani sheep at Organized Farm". The data on Deccani sheep generated at the "Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Sheep and Goat Development Project, Mukhed." Tq. Mukhed, Dist. Nanded (M.H.) was considered for the study. The "Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Sheep and Goat Development Project", Mukhed use to maintain Deccani sheep. The data accumulated reproduction and production for 7-12 months, 13-36 months and above 36 months were taken from individual's records, maintained at the "Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Sheep and Goat Development Project" Mukhed. In records 1865 Deccani sheep for period of 7 years (2017 to 2023) were included in the study. The data collected and subjected to the least squares analysis of reproduction and production. The consist various parameters such as reproduction for 7- 12 month had age at first service 330.00±0.63, for 13- 36 and above 36 month consist of age at first service was 342.00±0.63 and 305.56±1.68, age at first lambing 465.39±0.69 and 470.04±1.38, service period 110.39±0.58 and 111.86±1.06 and lambing interval 258.23±1.48 and 258.90±1.92 days. While for production 205.21±6.20 and 225.12±10.56 gm for 13- 36 and above 36 months.
