Therapeutic management of mastitis in a cow with homeopathy medicine - A case report

Abstract: A 5 years old cross bred jersy cow was attended at doorstep with a history of udder swelling without change in the milk. Vitals were within normal limit and clinical examination of udder revealed pain, hot, swelling and induration on palpation of left hind quarter, collected milk was tested for Californian Mastitis Test (CMT) and it was positive for mastitis based on these finding it was treated with only homeopathy medicine - Belladona, Bryonia, Conium, Carb animalis, Phytolacca, Sulphur, Silecea, and carbo veg. all these medicine given mixed together in 200c potency (each). 15 drops orally five times in a day for 20 days. No allopathy medicines were used. After 20 days of treatment animal was recovered uneventfully and udder swelling was reduced significantly.
