Abstract: Foot and Mouth disease (FMD) is the most significant animal viral disease in India in terms of economic losses and trade involved. Effective vaccination and comprehensive vaccination coverage have led to reduction in FMD incidences. The antibody responses against three serotypes of FMD Virus during 2025 were studied by conducting sero monitoring studies (SPCE) in pre and post sera samples collected in selected villages in different districts of Andhra Pradesh. We have achieved 40% of pre vaccination sero conversion percentage and 70% of post vaccination antibody response during 2025. If vaccination campaigns continue in a timely manner with high density using good quality vaccine the herd immunity may increase further reaching up to 90% which will act as a shield for restriction of virus transmission.
