Abstract: A Punganur calf aged 2 months old, was presented to the clinic with a history of hemorrhagic diarrhea, anorexia, weakness, and slight discomfort from 2 days. Upon physical examination, the calf appeared depressed with pale mucous membranes, acute weight loss, dehydrated, unthrifty and feces stained perineal areas. Fecal sample was examined under a microscope to make the diagnosis, which showed coccidia oocysts. Calf was treated with Trimethoprim and Sulfamethoxazole @ 30 mg/kg body weight followed by supportive drugs. After 5 days of treatment the calf was completely recovered and the fecal sample showed no evidence of oocysts.
