Abstract: The current investigation aimed to determine the levels of minerals profiles throughout the lactation phase of Osmanabadi goat. A total of 12 Osmanabadi goats, aged 3 years, were chosen for the experiment from LFC, COVAS, Udgir. These specimens were categorized into four distinct groups: Group I (control), group II (Early lactation), group III (Mid lactation), and group IV (Late lactation), each consisting of six animals. Level of the serum minerals viz. calcium were increase in mid and late lactation and were significantly reduced in early lactation. Phosphorous were reduced in all three group early, mid and late lactation period. Plasma micro minerals, copper, were lower in early and late lactation and elevated in mid lactation. Zinc was noted at physiological baseline level in lactation period of goats. The findings from the current study lead to the conclusion that incorporating mineral blend during the early, middle, and late stages of lactation in animals is recommended to prevent negative energy balance (NEB) throughout the lactation period.
