Abstract: A full term pregnant crossbred Jersey heifer was presented with a history of irregular patchy skin lesions with hairfall and flakes on the dorsal spinal region of body for the past 6 months. On clinical examination, all the vital parameters were normal and on examination of integumentary system, white flakes with hairfall noticed over the dorsal part of the spinal region. By stained tape-stripping technique, multiple footprint shape and broad based unipolar budding structure suggestive of daughter cells of Malassezia spp. were identified by microscopic examination. Neem leaf extract and Aloe vera gel were applied topically individually on alternative days for one month. The animal recovered uneventfully.
