Abstract: A 5 year old Labrador dog was presented to the State Institute of Animal Health, Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh with the history of left hind limb lameness and intermittent improper weight bearing. Clinical examination revealed frequent medial luxation of left patella and consistent pain during flexion of the limb. Based on the physical and Radiographic examination, it was diagnosed as a case of Grade III medial patellar luxation. The surgical procedure involved a craniolateral skin incision on the stifle, patellar luxation, wedge recession of the trochlear ridges, and tibial tuberosity transposition. The patellar luxation was corrected, and the joint was stabilized using K wires and tension banding. The patient recovered uneventfully, demonstrating improved weight-bearing on the affected limb. The dog had uneventful recovery.
