Abstract: A buffalo aged about seven years was presented to the Area Veterinary Hospital, Rajupalem of Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh with a history of a slow, growing mass on the left pre-femoral region. The mass was spherical and soft to touch. Fine needle aspiration of the mass was performed and sero-sanguinous contents could be noticed. Haematological and clinical parameters were tested and proceeded for surgery. Grossly, the excised mass was reddish brown in color and on had honey comb appearance on cut section with oozing of blood. Microscopically, varying sized cavernous spaces were lined by a layer of endothelium and filled with erythrocytes. Histopathologically it was confirmed as cavernous hemangioma. Post-operatively, the animal was treated with antibiotic for 7days along with anti-inflammatory drugs for 5 days. The animal made an uneventful recovery in 12 days.
