Abstract: This study investigates acute toxicity of polyherbal gel (Azadirachta indica, Centella asiatica, Curcuma longa, Glycyrrhizia glabra, Ocimum tenuiflorum) in rats to determine whether polyherbal gel has potential toxicity to goats. To assess the acute toxicity a dose of 300 mg/kg b.wt and 2000mg/kg b.wt were given to rats. Clinical signs, body weight, food consumption, haematological parameters and gross finding at necropsy were investigated and recorded. In the oral acute toxicity study of wistar rats, no clinical signs, mortality, body weight changes and gross findings were observed.
