Abstract: Aptamers are single-stranded oligonucleotides capable of folding into specific structures and binding to targets such as proteins, exhibit greater affinity and selectivity due to their inherent shape-forming characteristics. In this review, we elucidate recent advancements in aptamer-based technologies, delve into the fundamental properties of aptamers, explore chemical modifications, examine various in-vitro selection processes, and assess different analytical techniques.
